Market at the foot of the Riesenrad ferris wheel, running in 2026/27 under the motto 'Der Prater rockt'. Planned are 35 live concerts (Wednesday to Sunday 19:00–20:30, free entry), a family-friendly Perchtenlauf procession and a charity auction. The square is a stop on the Vienna Silvesterpfad; on 1 January the New Year's Concert is shown from 11:00 on an LED wall.

What to eat and drink here

Punch, mulled wine, roast chestnuts, lángos, sausages and sweets; Prater attractions such as the dodgems, the ghost train and the ferris wheel are open as well. In 2025 punch and mulled wine here cost about 5.50 EUR, speciality drinks from about 6 EUR. A deposit is charged on the mug (usually 3–5 EUR in Vienna).
